It is not always easy to get fresh amla but several neighborhood stores stock amla powder. You can also add a spoon of amla powder to your morning glass of buttermilk. This is an easy method to incorporate it into your regular diet. You can also add fresh amla to your diet if you can get them.
Ginger
A ginger tea is a simple remedy in many Indian homes both for its refreshing taste, aroma, and intrinsic properties to soothe your throat. Ginger has several health benefits and is a great immunity booster. It is also a regular home remedy to treat the simple flu or cold. Sukku or dried ginger is a popular ingredient in several traditional medicine stores in Tamil Nadu and South India. Sukku is the chief ingredient in sukku kaapi, a soothing beverage that clears your throat and is also renowned for its digestive and anti-inflammatory quality. This traditional recipe is dominated by dried ginger. Sukku is known as sonth in north India.
Lemon
One of the finest known and easily available sources of Vitamin C. An easy trick to ensure a constant supply of Vitamin C is to have a few slices of lemon into a large jug or bottle of water. Ensure that you change the lemon every day in the jug that your family drinks from. Lemon is a great addition for flavour and its health properties. It is best to add the juice of ½ or 1 in a plain glass of water.
